Year 2014 is passing. On New Year's Eve, many Japanese looked back this year watching "Red And White Song Festival." Some people might know most of the songs performed and sing along all the way. The fancy stage set and elegant traditional Japanese clothes are big features of this festival. Popular songs are tied to memories and people are thankful that they had a nice year.

日本的初詣，當然也有受歡迎度的排行榜，根據統計的初詣參拜人數來看，第一名的明治神宮繼續寶座(2014年初詣三日中共316萬人次)。祭祀著明治天皇和昭憲皇太后且交通相當便利，離原宿車站僅十分鐘左右路程，參拜完後還能順便一覽原宿地區的熱鬧繁華！

其次為成田山新勝寺、川崎大師 平間寺，皆有300萬以上人次的參拜數，相當可觀。在前十名中離京都較近的是位於大阪的住吉大社以及神戸市生田神社，新年期間若有機會可以前去參拜一下祈求2015年好運氣。

In Japan, "hatsumode" is the initial visit of a temple or shrine in New Year. There is no fixed period for "hatsumode" yet most of people visit on the first, second or third day of the year because most are off work during these days.
