在櫻花開之前，京都還有一個意境優美的活動──「東山花灯路」，繼去年底的嵐山花灯路後，京都的夜?又將被一盞一盞的燈火照亮，尤其在東山 (清水寺往北至青蓮院) 一帶，既是古寺老街聚集的地區，又有石板小徑等古色古香的景致！

如果不小心買錯？或是買不到！櫻花盛開時節的機票，三月初的京都也是很有看頭的。

2015 Higashiyama Hanatouro will be held on Friday, March 6th through Sunday, March 15. Higashiyama is the concentrated area with many Japanese traditional style buildings and temples. The entire area, north from Seiren-in Temple to Kiyomizu-dera Temple at south, will be illuminated by lanterns after lanterns on the pathways.

If you happen to be coming to Kyoto during this period, don't miss the chance to see the beautiful Higashiyama in the evening

2015年東山花灯路的DM出來囉！今年的活動日期是3月6日到15日，點燈時間是?上6點到9點30分，北從三条神宮道的青蓮院開始，途經知恩院，円山公園，八坂神社，延伸至高台寺，寧寧之道，石塀小路，再從八坂塔由二年坂，三年坂直到清水寺，最後從茶碗坂下至五条通。整個東山區將被2500盞和式燈籠點亮，沿途除了有插花藝術可欣賞，在八坂神社還有機會看到舞藝妓表演喔！

Higashiyama Hanatouro 2015 has its DM available now. The traditional style houses and temples in beautiful Higashiyama will be lit up at 18:00 to 21:30 on Friday, March 6th through Sunday, March 15.

2500 Lanterns will be placed north from Seiren-in Temple (near Sanjo Street), Chion-in, Maruyama Park and Yasaka Shrine through Nene's Path and Cobblestone Paths all the way down to Yasaka Pagoda, Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, and connected to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Chawan-zaka (The Pottery Hill). The illuminated path will finally end at Gojo-zaka.

Kyoto's cherry blossom season is roughly from the last week of March to the middle of April. The peak is around April 1st. Actually, cherry blossoms are quite fickle. They sometimes come into mankai (full bloom) all together and stay in mankai for around one week.?

對於京都的美景，大家最有印象多數是春天的櫻花與秋天的楓葉吧，
但在寒冷的冬天，可別忘了還有一種越冷越開花的梅花喔?
雖然沒有春櫻秋楓的絢爛，但也別有一番凜然的風味呢?

Kyoto's plum blossom season is roughly from the beginning of March to the middle of March. The famous Kitano Tenmangu Jingja Shrine's 2000 plums give a striking blossom view even in the middle of February. Besides, around 250 plums are planted close to Hamaguri Gate of Imperial Palace and gives a pretty sight in mid February too.

十日ゑびす(惠比壽)大祭，目的是為了在這一天向主管商賣繁盛的惠比壽神祈求商業獲益、以及家運昌隆。在關西一帶尤其是大阪，過去是商人聚集的城市，因此這一天都會大肆慶祝，而在京都雖然秉持一貫的優雅，卻也能感受到前來參拜的人的活力。

在京都的話，十日ゑびす大祭從8號開始一直持續到12號，不管是不是從事商業買賣的工作，都可以前來感受一下祭典的氣氛！

至於，為何是十號？單純因為惠比壽大神的生日是這天呀XD

Ebisu Matsuri is one of the biggest festivals held during 8th through 12th of January in Kyoto, praying for thriving business of the coming new year.?
Staff Yu went to Ebisu Matsuri near Gion/Kenninji Temple area last night, and happened to see a real maiko playing air gun at one of many vendors on Yamato Street. Though it was her private time, many people still grabbed the chance to take a photograph of this rare moment.
