1月7日的「七草粥」

日本習俗在1月7日吃「七草粥」求除病息災,將春之七草與白米及鹽一起燉煮,再熱呼呼的吃下。春之七草包括「ほとけのざ(仏の座)」又稱「小鬼田平子」、なずな(薺)、はこべら(繁縷)、ごぎょう(御形)、せり(芹)、すずしろ(蘿蔔)或だいこん(大根)、すずな(菘)=かぶ(蕪)、時令一到在超市等地方就能買到包裝好的七草組,回家煮粥吃囉!

Japanese family usually have rice porridge with 7 spring herbs on Jan. 7th to pray for the healthy year. It can be dated back to Heian Period. The ingredients of rice porridge vary from regions to regions, usually include the leaves of dropwort, shepherd's purse, cottonweed, chickweed, henbit, turnip, and radish.
